Term and Conditions

Australian Motorcycle Components accepts cash, bank cheque, direct deposit, Visa and MasterCard without surcharge. American Express is accepted, with a 4% surcharge. Personal cheques are accepted, however we do not process orders until the cheque has been cleared. For items imported to customer order, we may process full payment prior to ordering.

Pricing

Every effort has been made to ensure that pricing is correct and regularly updated. Where an item ordered is found to be is incorrectly priced AMC reserve the right to adjust pricing up or down to the correct level. The customer will be contacted in advance of any upward adjustment and given the option of accepting the adjusted price or cancelling the order without charge.

Order cancellation

Orders are non-cancellable without prior agreement in writing. Orders can only be cancelled with a written request for cancellation. When an order cancellation is accepted a confirmation of cancellation will be sent to you. If you do not receive a confirmation, contact us for verification. Without the confirmation a request has either not been received or has not been approved. Under normal circumstances, where a request is not approved, you will be contacted and advised. VERBAL CANCELLATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Product which is purchased in against customer order can only be cancelled to the point where product is despatched from the factory. Where a cancellation is accepted, Australian Motorcycle Components reserves the right to charge a 20% cancellation fee for any non-stock item. Should your bike be stolen or destroyed, it is still your responsibility to request an order cancellation (we do not know this unless you advise us). Where this is not done and product arrives any cancellation or refund shall be entirely at AMC discretion and may include cancellation charges,. While we endeavour to maintain most common products in stock, order levels fluctuate and product can be out of stock from time to time. Where a product is out of stock it will be placed on back order. Note: we make no claim to the legality of any items supplied as a strict interpretation of ADR could suggest that any accessory is illegal.

Title in Goods

All product remains the property of Australian Motorcycle Components until payment in full has been cleared through our bank.

Shipping

Unless otherwise advised, all product under 3kg by weight and/or volume for delivery within Australia will be shipped by courier and a minimum $13.20 courier and packaging charge applied. NOTE: If you select courier delivery and there is no one present to sign for the package we are charged an additional fee for delivery to the local Post office or depot for your collection. This fee will be charged to your card upon receipt of the charge to us. In the event of insufficient or incorrect addressing, we reserve the right to charge for any additional freight charged to effect correct delivery.

Warranty/Consumer Rights

Product is sold subject to manufacturer’s warranties. No additional warranties, explicit or implied will be accepted without written authorisation of an Officer of the company. AMC complies with all State and Federal Consumer Protection regulations. You consumer rights may be additional to any manufacturer warranty.

Distance Selling Regulations

While Australia has no comparable legislation, we voluntarily comply with the European Distance Selling Regulations in line with policies of some of our payment processing partners, for European based customers. Any customer based in a European country covered by such regulation has 7 days from receipt of any product to return for a full refund, less any freight costs. Product must be returned in original packaging in saleable condition, with a postage date stamp within the 7 day period. It is strongly recommended that insured and trackable post be used to ensure verifiable receipt of any return.

Product listings/Descriptions/Compatibility

Both Australian Motorcycle Components and our suppliers strive to continually improve products. We reserve the right to amend, modify or replace products without notice. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure they are ordering product suited for their year make and model of bike. Purchasers should check the VIN plate for the moth and year of manufacture. Where month of manufacture is September or later purchaser should check with their bike dealer as the bike may well be the following year model. All products are motorcycle accessories. Some removal and or re-installation of parts may be necessary. AMC recommends that all installation be by a mechanic trained on the make and model parts are being purchased for. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that the parts being ordered are suited for the end result they are attempting to achieve, either in style or function

Risk/Loss or Damage In Transit

Risk in product passes to the customer on product leaving AMC warehouse if uninsured freight is selected. Customer is advised to insure product against loss/damage in transit where applicable. When receiving product, please check packaging and if there is any sign of external damage have your delivery agent note the damage. In the event of damaged product you may be able to claim from the delivery company. For any product received in damaged condition and not reimbursable by the freight company please advise us immediately to arrange for return and replacement or refund.

Returns

We do not generally accept returns for change of mind or where purchaser has ordered product for the wrong model year, with the exception of the Distance Selling Regulations above. Such returns and any restocking fees as may be applied are entirely at AMC discretion. Any return goods require a return authorisation before being despatched. Goods received without an R.A. will not be accepted from couriers, or if returned by post will be held for collection at sender’s expense. Return Authorisation for non-warranty returns may be provided at AMC discretion subject to a restocking fee. All returns, apart from warranty claims, must be in saleable condition in original packaging.

Export Sales

Export sales will be shipped by air post unless a courier account number is provided. AMC reserve the right to charge export card orders at time of order placement to guarantee payment. All export orders must quote the credit card statement address. If deliver address and statement address differ please note statement address in the ‘Your Comments’ box.

Credit Card Payments.

Australian Motorcycle Components values your credit card security. Our site uses 128bit SSL security and all Cash Sale credit card numbers are encrypted and retained for the life of a single order before being permanently erased from our system as part of our automated system.

Please note, as part of our card verification system it is necessary to enter the address to which your credit card issuer sends your statement in the postal address section. You may choose to enter an alternative address for delivery in the section provided. A verifiable LAND LINE phone number must be provided in the phone number section. You may choose to enter a mobile number in the message box should you prefer contact on that number.

Our system prints the originating IP address on all orders. Suspect IP addresses, or those involved with known IP cloaking procedures flag orders for immediate manual check. Such orders will be held for verification of identity and a valid physical address. Goods are not shipped until such confirmation is received. Attempts to offer invalid or stolen credit cards will be reported both in Australia and the country of order placement.

Foreign currency conversions are approximate only. All orders are charged in Australian Dollars. You final local cost will be dictated by the conversion rate charged by your card provider. AMC reserve the right to process export credit card charges an export orders for back-ordered items at time of order placement to guarantee payment.

Note: Due to an increase in declined credit cards and the additional work and disruption in collecting payment, a $20 fee may be added to any order where a credit card is declined due to insufficient funds. E&O E.
